Harita Abraham, BS

Harita Abraham recently completed her third year of medical school at Kansas City University College of Medicine and is currently taking a gap year to pursue a pediatric glaucoma research fellowship at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute at the University of Miami.

She is drawn to ophthalmology for its immediate and lasting impact on patients' lives. Witnessing her first cataract surgery was a transformative experience, showcasing the rapid improvement in a patient’s vision post-op. Harita finds this impact even more profound in pediatric ophthalmology, where treating various pathologies significantly enhances children's quality of life for years to come.

Fun fact: Harita loves arts and crafts and is always excited to dive into creative projects that let her work with her hands!
