Harita Abraham, BS
I completed my third year in medical school at the Kansas City University College of Medicine. I am now taking a gap year to do a pediatric glaucoma research fellowship at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute at the University of Miami. I value the almost immediate and lasting impact ophthalmology tends to have on patients. The first cataract surgery I ever saw was life-changing for me simply because of how quickly the patient's vision had improved post-op. I feel this ten-fold when I think about the pathologies we are able to treat specifically in pediatrics and how it creates significant and lasting effects for kids in their quality of life.
Outside of medicine, I enjoy any kind of arts & crafts. If it allows me to use my hands and make something creative I am in!
