Riya Patel is a second-year medical student at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School with a strong interest in global ophthalmology.

Currently, Riya works with community health fairs in Newark, providing free eye screenings to underserved residents, and she aims to expand her outreach in the future. Her career aspirations include addressing preventable blindness, age-related eye conditions, and ocular traumas on a global scale by promoting sustainable healthcare solutions.
